 Niyaz Najafov works in the style of "poor realism". He participated in many international exhibitions held in Azerbaijan and abroad. His works have been exhibited in Azerbaijan, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, United Kingdom, USA and other countries.

In 2009 the artist participated to the 53th Venice Biennale. The works are exhibited in museums and galleries in Azerbaijan and in several museums worldwide, permanent collection of Aserbaidjan Museum of Modern Art (Baku), Museum of Modern Art of Rovereto (Italy), Foundation ArtExEast and in numerous private collections.
