Radmila Dapic Jovandic est née en 1946 à Sarajevo (Bosnie Herzegovine). Elle vit et travaille à Limoges.

Le papier kraft est un médium aux possibilités créatives inépuisables.
Coupé, plié, froissé, peint, pressé, imprimé, cousu, collé, déchiré, et souvent perforé, pour être enfin épinglé, suspendu dans l’espace et mis en dialogue avec la lumière. Ces formes évoluent dans le temps.
Le carton, lui est plutôt rigide. Sa stabilité pour l’installation dans l’espace s’obtient par le pliage et génère des formes architecturales, simples ou géométriques. Il permet de produire formes et contre-formes, sans que les unes ne prévalent sur les autres.
La gravure et l’impression considèrent l’expérimentation de nouveaux procédés de production, préoccupation centrale de mes recherches. De la fabrication de la matrice aux choix de sa position et des couleurs, je construis un nouveau langage, un alphabet mystérieux et inattendu.
Et le dessin... Des petits carnets aux grands formats, l’émotion et la ligne coulent, celle-ci souple, enlace sans fioriture la forme et le volume des corps.

Radmila Dapic Jovandic was born in 1946 in Sarajevo (Bosnie Herzegovine). She lives and works in Limoges. 

The creative possibilities that kraft paper has to offer are endless. 
_ Cut, folded, crumpled, painted, pressed, printed, sewn, glued, torn, and often perforated before finally being pinned up, suspended in space and left to interact with the light. These shapes change over time. Cardboard is rather stiff. Its stability, when it is used for spatial installations, is ensured through folding and produces architectural shapes, whether simple or geometric. It allows for the creation of forms and counter-forms without either of these prevailing over the other. 
_ Engraving and printing entail experimenting with new production methods, which is a central concern in my research. From designing the matrix to choosing its placement and colours, what I do is craft a new language, a mysterious and unexpected alphabet.
And drawing… From small notebooks to larger formats, emotion and lines flow, flexible, and wrap themselves effortlessly around the shape and volume of bodies.
