Induction Procedure

Art : Concept a le plaisir de présenter l’exposition Induction Procedure, proposée par Gilles Renaud, qui réunit pour la première fois quatre artistes nés au Canada, vivant et travaillant à New York.
Ce qui rapproche ces jeunes artistes, outre une amitié certaine, c’est un vocabulaire esthétique basé sur l’objet et à fortiori sa forme, sa composition.

Les œuvres de ces artistes sont composées d’éléments que nous connaissons isolément dans la réalité mais qui, une fois dématérialisés et hors d’un univers familier, nous arrachent à celle- ci induisant notre vision en erreur car défiant les lois de notre quotidien. L’exposition Induction Procedure est une assimilation, une digestion de notre expérience du détachement par rapport aux nécessités qui gouvernent ordinairement notre action et notre rapport au monde. Nous découvrons une sorte de réalité décalée d’un univers tel qu’il pourrait s’offrir à notre vision la plus brute sans aucune des médiations ou des paliers qui lui sont habituellement imposée; aussi, peut être s’agit-il moins d’un éloignement radical du monde réel que d’une redécouverte de la réalité même en tant qu’existence hors des conventions imposées par la société et la vie humaine.

Art: Concept has the pleasure of presenting Induction Procedure, proposed by Gilles Renaud, this exhibition brings four New-York based Canadian artists together in Paris for the first time.

The works of these four artists are made with elements of our everyday life that we can single out and recognize, but interwoven or circumvented in such a powerful way that we find ourselves completely estranged from it. Induction Procedure is an experience of assimilation, the conscientious digestion of an action of estrangement from the necessities that tend to rule our acts and our relation to the world. It allows us to discover the parallel reality of a world that could be perceived in its roughest and most basic terms, stripped of the mediation processes and of all the semantic levels that are usually imposed upon us. Therefore, more than a radical estrangement from the real world, this exhibition could be seen as a re-discovery of reality as it exists outside the conventions imposed by society and human ways of life.
