And if we started with the void?
And if we started by clearing the air?
What if we started by listening to the void?

For Loreto Martínez Troncoso, each intervention, each context, is a trigger for writing, whether it takes the form of a public "spoken words" or writing with spaces (exhibition or other). This writing is a listening to the space, its walls, its doors, its windows, its hollows, its circulations and other possibilities, its fullness, its emptiness... A listening which, on different occasions, is done upstream, a writing upstream.

For αέρας • aires at STOA 42, Athens 2022, it is the time of the exhibition that becomes this time of listening and writing, of and with the empty space. During the whole period the empty (space) writes, composes, decomposes, transforms, colours, smells, exhibits, extinguishes, hides, agitates, falls asleep … Architecture becomes a physical and emotional sensory mental space.

αέρας • aires, Loreto Martinez Troncoso is a proposal from SALON DU SALON to STOA 42 curated by Philippe Munda, supported by the Institut français and Ville de Marseille as part of an exchange between twin cities.
